In the beginning, music & photography was my passport to meeting people, learning, and experiencing new cultures. Now, it is more than just a passport. It’s a tool for creating awareness and understanding across cultures, communities, and countries to make sense of our commonalities in the world we share.
Patrick Gharapetian is a Berlin-based freelance photographer and music producer, with a strong focus on music, editorial and landscape photography. He is the founder and creative force behind the Neptune Studios, and can often be found performing around the world and shooting while taking a moment away from the stage or studio. He has a strong passion for art, exploring, vintage finds and most of all looking at the world through a different perspective.
One of the things that sets my work apart is the ability to capture the emotion and spirit of subjects. Whether shooting a landscape or a portrait, have the knack for finding the right moment, angle, and light to bring out the essence of what’s being captured and having work that is characterized by a sense of intimacy and depth, and by an underlying sense of empathy and compassion.
Despite the numerous demands on time and attention, I have always been dedicated to creative crafts and to the potential of photography to transform our perception of the world. Whether capturing landscapes or portraits, I approach each project with a sense of wonder and respect for the ability of visual imagery to stir and motivate us.
